At Château Rigaud, we love employing couples. In fact, some of our happiest and most successful team members have joined us as a pair, bringing different skills, plenty of enthusiasm and a shared sense of adventure.

We think spending a season working abroad together should be about much more than just earning money. It's an opportunity to learn new skills, gain valuable hospitality experience, make friends, discover a beautiful part of the world and have a brilliant time along the way.

And we've made it easy to do just that.

A proper home together. We have lovely, self-contained accommodation for couples, so you can enjoy your own space and privacy rather than sharing a house with the rest of the team.

Days off together. We understand that there's not much point coming to France as a couple if you never get to see each other! We can arrange your rotas so you have the same days off, giving you time to explore together.

A beautiful place to live. We're surrounded by vineyards, medieval villages, bustling markets and some of the best food and wine in France. Bordeaux is just an hour away, the Atlantic beaches are within reach, and there's endless opportunity for cycling, swimming, kayaking, wine tasting, eating out or simply enjoying long, lazy lunches in the sunshine.

You might work in different departments, but you'll be part of the same friendly, professional team, learning from experienced colleagues and taking on real responsibility.

A social life built in. With around 30 people working at Rigaud during the summer, there's always something going on. We're a close-knit, international team who work hard, look after each other and know how to have fun. And then there's our legendary end-of-season team trip. Recent adventures have taken us to Porto, San Sebastián, Marrakech and Budapest.

Who are we looking for?

We're always interested in hearing from enthusiastic, capable couples who love hospitality and want to spend a season living and working in France.

You don't necessarily need to have the same experience or want to do the same job. One of you might be a brilliant waiter or bartender, while the other has experience in housekeeping, kitchens, events or grounds maintenance. What matters is that you both have a great attitude, enjoy working as part of a team and genuinely care about doing a good job.

We're a family-run business with high standards but a relaxed, unpretentious approach. We want people who are keen to learn, happy to get stuck in and excited by the prospect of being part of something a little different.
