Any stay at Rigaud is a fully staffed chateau lifestyle experience. The house is, above all things, comfortable and welcoming, with the service and facilities of a top-notch hotel plus the exclusivity of a private home.

Our team have a genuine love for the chateau and a passion for the task of running a French country estate, so all in all, Rigaud is a very special, ‘one off’ sort of a place.

We love that this is a working estate with chickens and ducks to feed, a dog to walk and vegetables to tend. Guests become part of our community during their stay and are often found harvesting the berries in the vegetable garden, or providing the chef with an opinion on that afternoon’s cake.

We’re resolutely not a hotel. Most bookings are for the chateau as a whole, for group holidays, parties and weddings. You can book just a room and join a house party. These weekends are often food and wine focused, filled with cookery demos, market visits, wine tasting and producer visits – it’s foodie heaven.

And all of this exists in the heart of the Bordeaux vines, the world’s number one fine wine destination.
